According to tradition, Nizari Ismailis are the fifth Shi'ite sect in Islam, a branch of the Twelver branch of the Nizari Ismailis, are descendants of Ali al-Nabavi, the sixth Shia Imam of the Nizari Ismailis, and one of his followers that followed him to Jazirat-ul-Faqih. As such, Nizari Ismailis are the most conservative Shia sect and are known for their devotion to Ali's descendants. The sect has a special reverence for the Imams of the Nizari Ismaili branch. Nizari Ismailis in the Caucasus are spread out along the Caucasian border, in the Elburz and Tian Shan mountains, especially around the province of Khorassan in central Iran. Al-Quds Day is a prominent commemoration day observed by the global Nizari Ismaili community and was first celebrated on 24 September (the Nizari Ismaili lunar calendar equivalent to September 25) in Baghdad, Iraq. Today, the Al-Quds Festival is celebrated on Nizari Ismaili new year, 10th Nawruz, on June 24 in Iraq. In the Persian calendar, the tenth month is called Aban. In the Nizari Ismaili lunar calendar, however, the tenth month is called Amsha and starts on the second day of the month. Nizari Ismailis mark the beginning of Amsha, which is equivalent to the second day of the Nizari Ismaili lunar calendar, by observing the tenth day of the tenth month. The Nizari Ismaili lunar calendar is a lunar calendar.The effect of 1-beta-D-arabinofuranosylcytosine on the incorporation of labeled precursor into nuclear RNA in synchronous cultures of human lymphoblasts. The incorporation of labeled uridine or cytidine into nuclear RNA of proliferating lymphoblasts was determined after treatment of cells with 1-beta-D-arabinofuranosylcytosine (ara-C). In comparison to untreated cells, there was a marked reduction of the labeling of nuclear RNA after treatment of cells with ara-C, resulting in a direct proportional relationship between the inhibition of labeling and the concentration of ara-C used. The results suggest that ara-C-induced changes in the uptake and utilization of nucleoside precursors
